Editorial Review:
This is a brand new wood core low profile balance beam. It is 8 ft long with a padded top and is covered with a heavy grade synthetic suede material. The material is durable and easy to clean. The work surface is 4 in. wide and the beam is 6 in high. The beam is made using cross grain laminated wood construction. This gives the beam its strength and prevents warping or twisting and eliminates the need for a center support. The core is hand planed to its final shape with rounded corners and edges. The support braces are 12 in. wide and made of wood with rounded corners and soft edges. The bottom of the support braces have felt padding to protect the flooring beneath.
This will make a great practice beam!

Customer Rating: Summary: Yeah! Comment: Was exactly what it said... good quality, easy to get the feet on, nice padding on top. Great value compared to some other beams I've seen.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great product to train little champions at home Comment: This balance beam is the perfect product to practice at home. We bought this beam for our 7 year old daughter who started to compete in Level 4. She had been struggling with her beam routine at the latest meets and would fall off the beam. Although she practices regularly at her gymnastics training center, we thought that having a beam at home would complement her training.
Once ordered, we quickly received the beam; this is a great quality product for the price!
Our daughter loved it right away: it is light enough for her to take the beam out, even for just a 15-minute daily practice, and it is long enough to practice easily all the skills.
We could definitely see the improvement in our daughter's confidence on the balance beam, and, a month after receiving this great product, we can say that it paid off: our daughter got a first place at the NorCal State Meet at the beam, which was the key factor to her First Place All Around (search for Fiona Stemmelin on YouTube).
