Customer Rating: Summary: MADE IN CHINA Comment: I try to buy stuff that is made in USA, hence the Lodge Cast Iron cookware. You think a company like Lodge could find a way to make these in the US. How much money are they saving?
Oh, it gets 2 stars because it works Customer Rating: Summary: Safe cooking, no burn handle cover--happy! Comment: This is a great handle cover and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Yes, it IS small and fits perfectly on the iron skillet handle and out of my way. It saves my hand from getting burnt and I don't have to have a bulky large mit on that is in my way. I can't belive I have waited so long to get one of these!
I rated it 4 because it is just black, nothing interesting but the quality of the product is good.
Save yourself from the burn! :) Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful Comment: This mitt is wonderful with the iron skillet I purchased! It has definitely saved on the amount of burns I get from grabbing the handle without it! Customer Rating: Summary: Another use.... Comment: I recently bought a tiny, travel size straightening iron (for hair) and I needed something safe to store it in when it's still hot and I need to pack it in my suitcase. This is the perfect size and safety measure.
They sell hot iron cases for 3 times the price of this even safer alternative! Plus, when my little iron no longer works, I can use this pot handle for it's real purpose- in my kitchen.
Love it for both purposes. I highly recommend it. Customer Rating: Summary: A little Loose Fitting Comment: I used this for the first time today and found it very functional, although a little loose fitting. Be careful when lifting the heavy skillet so that the hangle doesn't turn within the mitt. After five minutes, I mastered the technique.
