ASIN: B00007J88T DESCRIPTION: From the beach to the bath -- a musical voyage!
-- Introduces babies to the wonders of water
-- Exposes little ones to whales, dolphins, fish, ducks and more

Within a baby's first year of life, new experiences can transform what might otherwise seem to be ordinary events into exciting opportunities for imaginative play. Baby Neptune exposes little ones to the wonders of water in their world -- whether they're stomping in the rain, splashing in the bathtub, playing "catch me if you can" with the tide on the beach, or "meeting" the fascinating creatures that live in rivers, lakes and oceans. Overflowing with captivating undersea footage and live-action visuals of delightful puppet shows, toys, and happy children, this fun-filled exploration of "water, water everywhere" also features the Water Music of George Frideric Handel to accompany you and your little one on your own interactive voyage of discovery! END

DVD Features
-- Repeat play
-- Discovery cards
-- On-screen aquarium
-- Toy chest
There's no denying a youngster's attraction to water, and the folks at Baby Einstein tap into that natural interest--and broaden it. They take babies and toddlers from bathtime to the beach, from tap water to waterfalls and geysers. A puppet octopus and duck serve as guides through clearly labeled sections: Ocean, Rivers and Lakes; Rain Drops and Puddles; Water at My House. A child speaks the title at the beginning and end of each unit, but those are the only words in this 24-minute "video board book." The rest of the sounds come courtesy of Handel, Telemann, Beethoven, and Johann Strauss. Both toy animals and real ones swim through the scenes and the footage of dolphins, sea turtles, and marina fish are fascinating enough that preschoolers won't mind sitting in with younger siblings. Summary: baby neptune
Comment: Showed this DVD to my 4 month old grandaughter. She was captivated and totally focused on the screen, watching every moment and really enjoying it. A great video that won't cause brain numbness to any adult watching with them.

Summary: Recommend for younger babies and up!
Comment: There are good Baby Einstein DVDs and not so good one. This one is a keeper. My baby started with Baby Beethoven at about 6 weeks and loved it, it remains her favorite many months later. We tried several other Baby Einstein DVDs for variety. Language Nursery is her second favorite. The black & white images and simple abstract shapes attract younger babies. Meanwhile the soundtrack exposes babies to foreign languages through numbers, alphabet, simple nursery rhymes. Definitely recommend!

Summary: Why would you use all the languages in one track?
Comment: Too confusing. I thought this dvd would have a spanish track where it woul go through all the attractions in that language and not just combine the whole thing. I would not recommend this dvd, there are better dvds that baby einstein has. Don't buy this one.

Summary: I don't understand what is this Video all about
Comment: What is this video suppose to be? Images and text don't even connect, it does not catches babies interest... If you want to start your baby with a foreign language you should better try Little Pim series which both catches the baby's attention and is of great educational quality.Little Pim: 3-Disc Gift Set (Spanish)Little Pim: 3-Disc Gift Set (Mandarin Chinese)Little Pim: 3-Disc Gift Set (French)

Summary: Bad for the developing mind
Comment: Your child would love watching this video, but she'd also love eating cotton candy and drinking grape soda. Many pediatric and psychological studies have shown that young children know FEWER words for every hour they spend watching videos like this one. Why? Because they aren't spending time with YOU, practicing their language and social skills. There's also evidence that young children who watch TV have a greater risk of developing ADHD. Last, toddlers who grow up in homes with the TV always on in the background literally seem to have more trouble hearing themselves think. This hurts their developing linguistic abilities and consequently their abilities to engage silent reasoning.

Please protect your child -- don't let her watch any TV during her early, crucial, developmental years. We only watch TV when our little girl is asleep.

Do a little research on this and you'll be glad you didn't buy this video.
