Comment: "Computer Shopper" has changed a lot over the years, going from a HUGE magazine with tons of filler and ads, down to a normal size in both form and content.

Where Computer Shopper now stands out is in it's excellent product reviews and side-by-side ratings. I have found the reviews to be spot on with my own observations and have come to trust the "Editors Choice" selections.

The magazine has well written and informative articles on everything from gaming PCs to Freeware. The "Help & How To" section is always fun to look at as well.

There are still a lot of Ads, but nothing like in years past.

This is a good magazine for those in the market for new computer gear or those that want to know what is coming out soon.

Comment: A few weeks ago, I started building my first PC from scratch and have found Computer Shopper magazine the best resource. The reviews and articles really helped me decide what parts to use, and the recent "how to" guide on assembling a PC was a godsend. I don't think there's another magazine out there that provides such in-depth advice -- their writers really know what they're talking about! Plus, if I can't find what I'm looking for in the magazine itself, Computer Shopper's Web Buyer directs me to the sites where I can find what I need -- both technical help and the cheapest parts. I can't thank them enough for saving me all that time I would have spent surfing the Internet myself. I'd definitely recommend that anyone interested in customizing their own PC should sign up for Computer Shopper.

Comment: I have been reading Computer Shopper since it helped me buy my first home computer three years ago. I usually save the previous 12 issues for reference. Product guides are very useful and I use the articles to help me upgrade my computer or solve nagging problems that I can't fix. I also use the Web Buyer section to discover new sites.
