Editorial Review:
White, Cordless Can Opener, Hands Free Operation, Walks Around Cans, Ergonomic Grip, Lightweight, Rechargeable, Opens Up To 30 Cans Per Charge, Power Pierce, Auto Off, Removable, Dishwasher Safe Blade.
This cleverly designed appliance turns the chore of opening cans into a hands-free operation that's as much fun as it is effective. The opener is cordless so it goes anywhere, eliminating the need to carry a can to a countertop or mounted electric opener. Simply clamp the opener onto any size can and let go of the soft-grip, ergonomic handle. The opener then walks around the can on its own, shutting off automatically when the can is open. It's lightweight and recharges in a compact, 3-1/2-inch-diameter storage base. Standing in the base, the opener is 8 inches high. For easy cleaning, the removable blade is dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Summary: B&D Cordless can opener
Comment: Very satisfied with the product. It took a couple of tries to get it to work the first time but, once we learned how to set the opener on the can, it worked perfectly.

Summary: Best hand-held ever
Comment: I had one exactly like this for years and when it finally broke, I looked everywhere for another just like it. I tried other kinds and cut myself on the edges more than once. I finally found it on Amazon.com. This is the best little hand-held can opener ever. It fits neatly in the drawer (along with it's charging base). No clutter left on the counter. I bought one for my Mom, too!

Summary: Works Great!
Comment: I needed an electric can opener because the arthritis in my hands has made it difficult to use a manual can opener and I didn't want another big appliance cluttering my counter top. This can opener has a small footprint. It is cordless and sits in a charging base. Perfect. It cleanly removes the lid, and catches it with a magnetic arm, unlike my manual which always left the lid hanging by a little bit of the metal. Easy to use and nice looking.

Summary: Great Can Opener
Comment: I bought one of these a few years ago for my step dad and used it when I helped him out with my mom. I liked it so much, I got one for myself and bought one for my disabled sister. Love the design and the ease of use and cleaning. Just wish they'd make a Versapak version.

Summary: Not the greatest
Comment: I have this can opener and it is a real disappointment. It doesn't pierce the cans reliably and often stops halfway around. It works, most of the time, but it's terribly annoying. And it's even difficult to get it straight in the base so it will recharge--plus the base is very light weight so it tips over. I had a different model of walk-around-the-can opener from GE (which became Black and Decker) before--it wore out eventually--which worked a whole lot better. I don't open a lot of cans, but when you need a can opener it should work. It's not brain surgery.
