Comment: We have had this for about an year or more now. We bought this one after a previous black & decker chopper finally gave up after 5 years of use. So, we liked the brand from that history. I did do some research looking at reviews at multiple sites, and while this one did not have the best reviews, it had pretty good reviews and from a price & review combination, it looked like the best deal.

After about an year now, i am glad to say, the product works just as well as the day we bought it. We were initially wondering if the design of having the motor attached to the head vs the base would be difficult, but that has not been much trouble. My wife loves to cook and this is one of her daily use tools, and if she was not happy with how it works, we would have had to buy another unit long back. With this chopper, i have actually heard her recommend it to some of her friends - and let me tell you this - it has to be really good/useful to get her to recommend it to her friends!!!

Comment: My lovely bride is a great chopper of vegies - the project, though is lengthy, dependent upon the amount to be chopped. She was very skeptical when it was presented to her; however, this little device has worked flawlessly for her and up to her standard of chopped size. You need a chopper to handle those daily tasks quickly and with easy clean-up - buy this - you won't be disappointed.

Comment: Ive had mine for 5 years or less and my mom and aunt have wanted it so bad! I bought both of them one this past christmas. It is so easy to use and the clean up is so simple. It is dishwasher safe so all you really have to do is wipe down the top after use, put the other parts in the dishwasher and your done. Easy storage being as it is so small and ther are so little parts. I do have to advise it only cuts small portions which is great if you are cooking for 1 or 2 people. I woud highly recommend this product!!

Summary: The good, the bad and the, well, so-so.
Comment: I went out to the store the day before Thanksgivig in desire (not really need) of a small chopper to make this parsley and lemon thing to stuff my turkey. The store I went to had this unit. I bought it on a whim and yes, it did the job, but it doesn't do ALL jobs. The herb and citrus mixture chopped great. However, when I went to make chili and wanted to chop onions and bell peppers, all I got was MUSH. It was usable mush, but not chopped in little diced pieces like I like. Then, today, I made basil pesto - it worked "OK". Actually, today's shortcoming may have been because the parmigiano regiano I used was old and really hard. The poor chopper had trouble chopping it up. Then I opened a new package and the softer cheese grated up fabulously. When I finished the pesto, I had two issues: 1. I put the lid on to let the pesto rest - the lid did not fit completely (it is not "airtight" as stated by others.) and 2.) although I "gently" cleaned the top motor unit by hand, the aroma of basil and garlic remains. What if I wanted to use this for chopping something for a non-savory or sweet dish? Black and Decker has something here but, they need to improve it by putting some sort of washable barrier between the bowl and the the motor.

Comment: This little sucker does a GREAT job! I got me one and absolutely LOVED it. So, for Christmas, I got my parents and father-in-law one. Haven't heard their response, yet. I have a big Cuisinart and don't use it like I should because it's so inconvenient dragging it out and putting it back up. The Black and Decker is SO light and easy to use, it's amazing. I keep it on my cabinet shelf, along with my spices, sugar, and flour, because it's so small and fits there perfectly. It also cleans up easily. Even through the holidays, I didn't have to drag out that big ole Cuisinart. I highly recommend this product!
