• Boils up to seven eggs • Two poaching trays included • Dual switch for boiling and keeping warm • Timer to indicate end of cooking • Water level indicator and egg piercer included
Removable egg holder facilitates cooling under cold tap water
Dual purpose lid-use as a dip tray or serving tray
Lid and egg holder are dishwasher safe
2 poaching trays included This cooker boils up to seven eggs at one time or poaches one or two eggs in trays. You can use the calibrated water-level indicator to pour the precise amount of water needed to soft-, medium-, or hard-boil one to seven eggs. The indicator (a tube) has a steel pin in the bottom for piercing eggshells; this will leech out the sulfur so yolks remain yellow during cooking rather than turning green. Assuming the proper amount of water is in the egg holder, the timer will ensure the eggs are cooked to the desired level, and then indicates with a light and bell when the hard-boiling is completed. You can then set the timer switch to keep the eggs warm. The plastic egg holder is removable, letting you cool the eggs under running water. Everything cleans easily, including the nonstick coating on top of the boiling plate. The cooker measures 9-1/8 inches wide and 5-1/4 inches high. --Fred Brack
Customer Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: EASY Comment: We use this 2 times a week and the eggs are perfect everytime. The timer makes it fool proof. Customer Rating: Summary: great little addition to any kitchen Comment: My daughter requested an egg cooker for her holiday gift this year. After reviewing several, I decided on this one. When I received it, looked at it (nice and small/minimal counter space), I knew it was perfect. Ended up ordering 3 more and having them sent directly as gifts. Everyone who has received one has loved it. It does exactly what it says - perfectly. This little addition to any kitchen or dorm room is a perfect choice.
Highly recommended. Customer Rating: Summary: Total Garbage - Avoid at all costs Comment: Like so many other people, my egg cooker doesn't indicate when eggs are done. No matter what you do with this egg cooker you end up with either hard boiled eggs or raw eggs.
I got this as a gift, I'm throwing it in the trash as soon as it cools down. Customer Rating: Summary: A Great Eggmaker Comment: I purchased this item based primarily on previous reviews. It certainly
is an excellent product at an attractive price through Amazon.com. The first time I made poached eggs, the timer went off way too early--I don't know why; however, the next time (and every time since then) the eggs were perfect. Hard boiled eggs were just right from the very first time I made them. Instructions and operation of the unit are simple and should be read thoroughly prior to use. Clean-up is easy, too. You'll also like the way the power cord stores in the unit's base. If you enjoy poached and/or hard boiled eggs, this is the cooker to buy! Customer Rating: Summary: Great For Hard Boiled Eggs Comment: I bought this mainly to poach eggs with but find it
very useful for making boiled eggs for deviled eggs.
It is hard to tell when the poached eggs are done so
am not really too pleased at the poaching part.
That is probably a problem on my part and not
the egg cooker.
For the boiled eggs there is a little measuring
cup with a egg piercer on the end to pierce the
egg with. This makes it easier to peel.
I like it so much I bought 2 more for Christmas gifts
for my children.
I would recommend this item.
