Comment: My preschoolers LOVED this book.... they may not have gotten the full meaning, but wow! The little thing goes looking for who he thinks he's a part of and learns he is whole.... really inspiring book!

Summary: Simply amazing
Comment: I just recently checked out Frederick from the library with my three-year-old son. So tonight at the mall, when I saw this book at the bookstore, I was very interested in reading it.

I sat down and devoured it. Not only are the illustrations absolutely stunning in their color, form and emotion (especially when Pezzettino rows his boat to the Island of Wham), but it contains one of the single best lines I have ever read in any book (much less a "children's" book). I will not reveal it here, go read the book.

I have an English degree so I have come across many good lines in my day but this is one I will never forget. Maybe my three-year-old doesn't get the full impact of the book at this tender age but it matters not to me. At almost 36, I got goosebumps from its simple, amazing, message.

P.S. This is my first Amazon review of any kind of product after years and years of shopping Amazon. That is how moved I was by this book.

Summary: Leo Lionni's Pezzettino is Sweet
Comment: Pezzettono is a lovely story about ones worth and acceptance. My son loves it. He chose it as his favorite book of second grade. He made a diorama to celebrate its message of self-discovery.
