Comment: While the cover picture shown on this item does not say it, when I received my book, there is a note saying "Do Not Buy Used." This is because there is an online ID code that can only be used by one person. If you are only intersted in the book, it shouldn't be a problem. For my class, I have to complete the online portion and the company website charges an additional $20 for a new code. Summary: Great for Adults and Advisors
Comment: As a college educator, I found the strengths test fascinating. Like many others, I was surprised and, at first, skeptical about the results of the inventory. As I read the book, though, I learned more and appreciated how the qualities identified by Gallup had helped me throughout my career or impeded my progress when my strengths were not a good fit with institutional culture. I have recommended the book to many peers, and find myself bringing up the content frequently in conversations.

As a resource for high school or college students, I am less apt to recommend the book without also recommending a guidance process. In early college development, many youth have not had enough life experience to understand their interests or environments enough to understand the broad recommendations of the author. With more personal guidance from a mentor or advisor who has also read the book, there is potential for more concrete applications.
