Comment: Any personal development book is going to be worthwhile if it gives any tidbits of information that can help a person improve their life. This book certainly does that. The 17 principles are well worth knowing and applying in your life.

I only rated this as a three-out-of-five stars because I found this book to be a little difficult to read through. These are indeed W. Clement Stone's principles but the book is not written by Stone and rather by authors from the Napoleon Hill foundation. To support the principles they cited other works which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it seems as though there is material quoted in every other paragraph and that is a bit much. There is a lot of, "this is what he (Stone) said and here is what other people have said to support it." It is difficult for there to be a continuous flow with this type of writing.

If this is your first personal development book then it is probably going to be worth its weight in gold and worthy of five stars. The 17 principles are going to change your life.

Personally, I would have preferred the book to be authored by Stone and not a summary of his beliefs and principles. Having read a number of personal development books, I think there are better reads out there, not necessarily because of content but because of readability.

Comment: If you are looking for a an inspirational book with good advice, this is it. Most everything has been said before, but he uses good examples of people that have made it in business. It is very positive in tone and is a must read for anyone starting a business or wanting to start a business.
