Customer Rating: Summary: Not impressed either Comment: Was looking for "something else" .. this is more of a script of what to say in sticky situations. Guess it's OK for first-time workers, but if you've been in office environments at all, most of this is just too idealistic and scripted.
Feels a little more like 1950 than 1990 and beyond. Customer Rating: Summary: Not impressed Comment: There is some good information in this book, however most is simply common sense. What I did not like about the book is that it is written in a negative tone that implies all workers are slackers. I'm sure there is something better out there and I will look for it. Customer Rating: Summary: When you think you are in over your head... Comment: This book was helpful for me to consider ways to address certain touchy topics. New to supervising, I did not want to give my employees an opening to exploit. No book will solve all problems, but this one did help me through some tough times. Customer Rating: Summary: Great! Comment: A must have for any new manager or supervisor. Provides great advise for almost any situation you may find yourself in. Read it through and keep handy for reference!
